I believe that the world of caregiving is a calling, not a job, and that reflects in my work ethic and caregiving. Some people working in this field are certified, and while I lack certifications, they do not certify the caregiver with heart & compassion. This is something that comes naturally. Not forced. Here is an idea of my experience as a caregiver - - Alzheimer/ dementia - Incontinence - Administrating medications on time - Light cooking breakfast,lunch and dinner - Light exercise daily - Patients on oxygen and/or tube fed - Wound care (i.e. bed sores, stage 3 sores, etc) - Able to lift up to 160lbs and transfer from bed to chair - Extremely clean and organized And last, but certainly not least - - Companionship this i believe is the key to keeping one healthy ... we were not meant to be alone. I can help fill in the void/loneliness It takes heart and PATIENCE. Alot of patience. I understand people who suffer from these illness have theirs ups and downs. I believe in being patient and showing love is the best way to go about being a great caregiver. I have over 3 years of experience in this field of work. This is something i plan on doing long term so its naturally easy for me.... i have met some wonderful people along my journey of cargiving.. i noticed alot of people coming out of the wood work since the economy has gone done however this was never about trying to make ends meet this was about a God given passion i have! I am seeking a live out type of situation.Reasonable rates and ver flexible!
