Medical hospitals and centers need more EKG Technicians to help aid patients from succumbing to their ailments. Job Description: Connecting wires and electrodes to the patient s chest, arms, and legs. Monitoring their heart readings. Understand how an EKG Machine is used. Working directly with the patients. Once you begin the course on becoming an EKG Technician you will gain knowledge about electrocardiography and the anatomical structure of the heart. You will learn how to test the performance of the patient s heart with a pacemaker and conduct various pulmonary and cardiovascular tests. Also, once your EKG courses are completed you will be able to use Medical Pictures Archiving Computer Systems also known as PACS where you will digitally store images in DICOM format.
